The EQIPD E-learning course provides training on the principles of rigour and robustness in animal experiments. It consists of 10 modules:
- Scientific integrity
- Systematic review and meta-analysis
- Experimental design
- Data handling
- Data analysis and statistics
- Transparent reporting
- Ethics and animal welfare
- Academia – industry collaborations
- The EQIPD quality system.
Each module consists of training materials which have been extensively reviewed by EQIPD experts or have been newly generated by the consortium. The course offers a diverse collation of 71 E-learning elements, webinars, web lectures and knowledge clips. All materials are online, open access, in English and suitable for researchers from both academia and industry.
To test your knowledge, learning outcomes are available for each module, as well as narrower learning goals for each individual training material. Core materials enable participants with little prior knowledge to achieve the learning goals, whereas Bonus materials provide additional examples, or more advanced levels of training. Additional resources (non E-learning) are provided for most modules.
The duration of the individual materials is variable, from ~5 minutes to 1.5 hours, with a balanced combination being offered in each module. Each module contains 1 to 14 materials and should take between 1 and 6 hours to complete. To enhance sustainability, we welcome you to use the suggestion form on the website to suggest additional materials.
